These students topped their section in the state awards. Jessie Binns and Brayden McConnell both wrote essay for their respective categories: The History of Sport and The Life and Times of John Curtain. Dakota Schofield and Declan Caruso produced a multimedia PowerPoint together and won the Year 5/6 Category. Their awards comprised of certificates, medallions and a cash prize. News - Latest Fri, 27 Nov 2009 14:32:19 +0100 http://dalbsoutss.eq.edu.au/wcmss/index.php/latest/student-council-raises-money-for-guide-dogs.html Mr Frank Chiverton was presented with a cheque for $636.40 by our School Captains during Parade on Wednesday 4 November. This money was raised by our Student Council. Frank recently completed a 10 week, 5700km round trip, in his restored 306 Chamberlin tractor, through the Queensland outback raising money for Guide Dogs Queensland. In return, Mr Chiverton presented the Captains with a Guide Dog toy for the school... and a guide dog puppy. Student Council are now holding a competition to name the Guide Dog toy. The student who thinks up the best name will receive the puppy toy as a prize. Get your thinking caps on! Entries can be posted in the box at the Office. Good luck!
