Anzac Commemoration

The tradition of Anzac Day was commemorated by Dalby South students over the last two days, with a school service on Tuesday and a large number of students marching behind the school banner at the Dalby Anzac march today.

Our school captain team officiated over our school service with special guests Mr Graham Coles, Dalby RSL President; Mr Stan Hutchins, veteran of the Korean War; Mrs Ann Leahy, Member for Warrego and Mrs Heather Lambert, School Chaplain. Throughout the service our Senior Concert Band and Choirs performed as well as each class laying a wreath. Throughout the school, all classes have spent time learning about the Anzac tradition before the commemorative service.

Dalby South students and their families were extremely supportive of the Dalby Anzac march with large numbers participating in the march both as part of the Dalby South contingent and with other local groups such as Scouts and Guides.

The reverence that our students showed for the fallen was commendable. Thank you to our school community for the support shown. Lest we forget.
