Picasso Portraits

Students in 3C were inspired by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso when constructing a portrait for the upcoming art show. The portrait displays two points of view, a front view and side view. In creating this artwork, students viewed images of Picasso’s work and analysed the face by covering up one side at a time. Through gradual steps, students drew facial features, including a large oval face, eyes with one facing forwards and the other to the side, a pointy nose and a heart shaped sideways mouth. Pencil, oil pastels and   coloured cardboard assisted their creations. Students did a fantastic job at drawing these portraits illustrating a variety of sizes, shapes and colour.
