Sports

Our physical education program encourages physical fitness. Basic skills in most of the major sports are taught as part of the program. Children are expected to participate in the physical education (PE) activities unless there is a medical reason for their exclusion, and parents have advised us. The program has two distinct parts, which are daily PE activities, weekly PE lessons with our specialist PE teacher. In Terms 1 and 4, this will also include swimming lessons. For these lessons, students are bussed to the pool and notes are sent home before the program begins. Specific training programs are also conducted for both cross country and athletics.

Permanent sporting facilities provided at the school include an excellent oval with two synthetic cricket wickets, two netted practice wickets, softball/tee-ball grounds, football field, soccer fields and netball court. In 2011, a multi-purpose hall was added to our facilities. The floor space is marked out for a number of games including basketball, volleyball, netball and badminton.

Children are expected to participate in the physical education activities unless there is a medical reason for their exclusion, and parents have advised us. Annual inter-house competitions are conducted in athletics, swimming and cross country.
