Early Childhood Development Program

The Early Childhood section of the SEP provides an early special education program for very young children with developmental difficulties. Eligible children can access the programs from birth to five years of age. Sessions are offered for a weekly playgroup (with parent or guardian) and a small group programs for those children who are over three and a half years of age. Many of the children attending the ECDP also attend regular Kindergarten or Daycare programs in the local area.

The ECDP program provides support to meet the specific developmental needs of the child. The overall focus of the program is to foster the development of communication, social interaction, motor skills and thinking skills.
