At the end of each Semester, students are individually rated by their class teacher in regard to their behaviour at school. This rating considers behaviour in the classroom, the playground and other areas of the school. Students in Years 1-6 will have this rating appear on their report card and students gaining the top rating (Very High for Year 1-2 and Excellent for Year 3-6) and in Semester 2 2002 having an attendance rate of over 80% will gain a South Superstar award. Prep students will be rated by their teachers for the South Super Star award but this rating will not appear on report cards. These awards will be presented at the end of each semester during a Parade with a special morning tea afterwards. This is a very special award which can be strived for by all students. Parents will receive a letter from the school attains this important milestone. We encourage all parents and friends to attend this special Parade and acknowledge the great work done by students. Students’ names are published in the school newsletter.
Please note that in 2023 the expected rate of attendance to receive this award will increase. Notification of this will be given to the school community.
